In the past 3 years alone, Wendy directed 12 movies for television including Romantic Comedies, Christmas Movies, Thrillers and True Crime Drama that premiered on Hallmark or LifeTime.
Wendy was recently nominated for a 2025 LEO AWARD
(Best Direction Television Movie) for the LifeTime Original- “Searching for a Serial Killer -The Regina Smith Story”.
Her thriller, The Ice Rink Murders ranked #5 in the top Lifetime Movies of the year. Additionally, The Perfect Christmas Carol earned her a nomination for Best Direction Television Movie at 2024's Leo Awards.
Wendy wrote, directed and co-produced To The Worlds, which WON the 2020 CANADIAN SCREEN AWARD for Best Documentary Program. The film became CBC’s highest rated doc of the year & was critically acclaimed . To The Worlds received 5 LEO Award nominations, including Best Documentary Program, Direction, Writing, Editing & winning for best Original Score.
Wendy holds the distinction of being the first female 1st Assistant Director in Canada. As such, she’s worked on hundreds of hours of TV series, MOWs, Feature Films, & 3-D IMAX films working across Canada and around the globe.

Coming from the world of Assistant Directing, I bring a highly organized approach to every project. I'm a strong communicator and have learned countless ways over the years to help productions run efficiently--saving time and money while maintaining creative focus. What excites me most is working intimately with the team to infuse emotion, beauty and intrigue into every line of dialogue, every shot and every scene.
